Honorable Sir

I have seen Judge Thatcher this morning he advised me to right to you as I have no witness here to [stirkethrough] sighn [strikethrough] sign an affidavit that I am the wife of Alfred A Jones now deced I have rote to you before this so you know all the particulars My name was before marage Mary, A, Mead of Alabama The Daughter of Marston, G, Mead Judge of Probate Court of Blount, County. Alabama now decesed I heard Dr Barnett is now in Jacks on Miss The capt Mr. Jones joined under in Yazoo City if so you can see him if you see proper he is attending sick at the Hospital in Jackson you know what to do better then I do you will please attend to it as soon as you can and Let me Know for I am all a Lone with three small Children to take—care of and no one to help me in any way the Peopel have never helped me any since I came Down [heare?] I do not [draw?] at solders markett is [from?] markett be cause they say I came from Yazoo City I had a Little moyney but it is gone now please let me know soon you ar all that I can call on for protection I hope you will act a Fathers part towards me your humbel servant Mary A Jones
