Dear Sir,
Your petrioner wou-ld beg leave to state that I Keep a small store on the Levve for the sale of cakes Pies apples &c that I have been called on for a Tax bill of fifty Dollars which I am unable to pay, as the amt of my sales is so small, and paying rent for the House as I own no property I am willing to pay $10,00 which I think is a fair tax on my

Hoping my appeal will meet with your favorable appropbation and as in duty bound your petioner will ever pray

I have known Mrs Henry fifteen years and know her to be a correct and deserving woman. From appearances I would think $50—would buy every thing she has in her shop
